Dear Hora Hora School Community,
On behalf of the Hora Hora School Board, I am pleased to inform you that after a robust recruitment process, we have appointed Shannon Buckle as our new Principal for Hora Hora School.
The Board is delighted that Shannon has accepted the role. Shannon is thrilled to be appointed and is eager to meet with the staff, students and community to ensure a strong successful start for our school. We will be organising several events in the new year for this to happen.
Shannon has the full support of the Board, and we feel very fortunate to have someone of Shannon’s calibre to lead our treasured school. I know you will also welcome Shannon into our school and community and give her your full support as we move into the future.
Please find below a short introduction to Shannon. We know that Shannon’s education knowledge, experience, her love for students and her focus on learning will enable our students and school to excel.

An introduction to Shannon
Shannon comes to us from Berkley Normal Middle School in Hamilton. Shannon has taught at Berkley for six years leading teams of highly motivated teachers across years 7 and 8, as well as establishing and leading the school-wide Digital Technologies Programme. Prior to that, she worked in a primary school and led year 5-6 teams for several years. Shannon is a lifelong learner and is currently completing her Masters in Educational Leadership through the University of Waikato.
Shannon is a highly motivated and results-oriented teacher and leader with over two decades of experience. Shannon has worked hard and focused on becoming a principal her entire career. Shannon is well placed to lead our school excelling in our vision and goals.
Shannon lives in Cambridge with her husband Mathew and two children – Grace (15) and Josiah (13).
